Scope of work and milestones as shown through our education division

As Converge, we provide services in strategy, marketing, design, media relations, stakeholder engagements and staffing to our education division CARE™.

In 2005, Converge created the medical education division CARE™. Over the years, CARE™ has expanded and grown. Programs provide pan-Canadian specialists, allied health care professionals, government, public and private payers as well as industry opportunities to meet, discuss, and to address gaps in knowledge. CARE™ frames key news in a Canadian perspective.

Select Milestones of CARE™

  • Founding of the Hematology & Oncology Faculties

  • First Peer Reviewed Clinical Paper in Oncology

  • First Faculty Guidance on Breast Cancer Treatment

  • Launch of Programming with Allied Health (Supportive CARE™ Faculty) and Gastroenterology Faculty

  • First National Hematology Conference

The Canadian Hematology Conference (CHC) is over 10 years old and has grown to become the largest multidisciplinary hematological conference held in Canada. CHC brings together pan-Canadian and International Faculty, to showcase cutting-edge research and developments in malignant and benign hematology.

  • Interfaculty Collaboration: Molecular Testing Lung Cancer

This multi-specialty initiative involved thoracic surgeons, respirologists, pathologists, medical oncologist and hospital administrations across Canada.
Aim: improve testing at diagnosis to identify patients who qualify for first-line targeted agents. CARE™ brought together multiple stakeholders who had previously worked to tackle the problem individually. This program was recognized at the World Conference on Lung Cancer.

  • First Poster Session at IASLC Conference (World Lung, Australia)

  • Launch of CARE™ Pathology and Respirology Faculty

  • Launch of CARE™ Rheumatology and other faculties

  • Regional Hematology (CHC) Conferences

The annual CHC National program was extended to include regional sessions of the CHC conference in both Québec and Western Canada.

  • First Interfaculty National Congress

This multi-disciplinary congress provides a platform for medical professionals, aHCP, government, payers, etc. to discuss current issues within the Canadian healthcare landscape. The congress initially focused on biosimilar landscape and adoption in Canada. The annual congress is heading into its 5th year and has evolved to address challenges with Access to Innovation.

  • 5th Update to CARE™ Prostate Cancer Treatment Algorithm

  • 15 Years of CARE™ and Beyond

While celebrating a milestone of 15 years, CARE™ rapidly adapted to virtual programming. Traditional Canadian and international programming run by CARE™ became virtual and generated greater participation rates. Levels of engagement with CARE™ and clinicians in social media and through electronic communication grew. Select highlights include: the 10th annual Canadian Hematology Conference and the 15th annual CARE@ASH conference. The period has reinforced the need to stay true to CARE™ roots - delivering relevant education programming framed from a Canadian perspective. CARE™ faculty look forward to the next milestone 2025 and 20 years of continuous CARE™ programming.
